Kishiwada City in Osaka Prefecture, overlooking Osaka Bay, is the historic heart of the Senshu region. Flourishing as a samurai castle town under the Okabe clan during the Edo period, it is world-renowned for its dynamic and passionate Kishiwada Danjiri Festival. This 12km GPS art course invites you to sketch a magnificent bird, tracing a scenic clockwise loop that connects the town’s historic castle core with its refreshing modern waterfront.
The urban journey begins at Kishiwada Station, heading east toward Imaike Park before turning toward the coast. Running along the bayside, the route takes you past Hamakōgyō Park (hachiiro park+), the impressive Nankai Namikiri Hall, and the lively Kishiwada Cancan Bayside Mall WEST. Winding past the Kishiwada Nature Museum and the sacred Kishiki Shrine, the path returns toward Kishiwada Station before diving into the historical heartland. The final stretch guides you through the picturesque stone walls of Kishiwada Castle, the immersive Kishiwada Danjiri Hall, and the legendary Tenshoji Temple (Takojizo).
