GPS Art Surrounded by Flowers, Greenery, and Water🐸
Located in Tsurumi Ward, Osaka City, the Expo ’90 Commemorative Park Tsurumi Ryokuchi was established on the site of the 1990 International Garden and Greenery Exposition (Expo ’90), known as the “Flower Expo.” Spanning approximately 120 hectares, this expansive urban park features iconic spots such as the Windmill Hill, rose gardens, tropical conservatories, and the globally inspired gardens of the Sakuya Konohana Kan. With streams and ponds flowing throughout, the park offers a soothing natural environment that transforms beautifully with each season.
This GPS art course takes advantage of the park’s lush greenery and water features to create a charming 6km frog shape. A familiar symbol of the rainy season, frogs are naturally suited to the park’s atmosphere with their affinity for wetlands. The course is designed to loop around the park, providing a relaxing and enjoyable walk through gentle paths and vibrant nature.
As you walk through this serene space, each step becomes part of a larger artwork—inviting you to connect with the natural beauty and cultural history of this iconic location. Through this frog-shaped GPS art, rediscover the joy of nature thriving in the heart of the city.
