Frog-Shaped GPS Art in a Lush Botanical Garden🐸
Located in Osaka City’s Higashisumiyoshi Ward, the Nagai Botanical Garden is a verdant oasis nestled within the larger Nagai Park. Spanning approximately 24 hectares, the garden boasts a diverse array of landscapes, including a traditional Japanese garden, rose garden, iris pond, and wetlands. Each season brings a new wave of color, and in early summer, hydrangeas and water lilies bloom vibrantly throughout the grounds.
This approximately 8km GPS art route loops around the botanical garden to draw a charming “frog” shape—a symbol of nature and water that perfectly matches the garden’s atmosphere, especially during the rainy season.
Nagai Park is also home to an athletics stadium and a natural history museum, serving as a beloved recreational and educational hub for local residents. The surrounding neighborhood is residential and pedestrian-friendly, with wide streets ideal for a relaxed walking experience.
Despite being located in the heart of the city, Nagai Botanical Garden offers a rich natural environment where you can immerse yourself in the sounds of rainfall and the lush greenery. Embark on this unique adventure and enjoy drawing a delightful frog while strolling through seasonal beauty.
