GPS art of cherry blossoms at a temple of wisdom✨
GPS art of cherry blossoms at Abe Monju-in Temple, one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Nara Prefecture.
Abe Monju-in Temple, founded in 645, is Japan’s oldest temple dedicated to Monju Bosatsu (Manjusri) and is widely known for its “Monju wisdom” that bestows wisdom. The main statue of Monju Bosatsu (Manjusri) is designated as a national treasure and is of impressive size. In spring, the temple grounds are decorated with approximately 500 Someiyoshino cherry trees, especially “Nakamaro no Bokyo Shidare-zakura” (weeping cherry trees of Nakamaro’s desire), which bloom gracefully. Along with the cherry blossoms, the scenery of the Japanese garden and the Kinkaku Floating Hall are in harmony, attracting visitors. Combining history and natural beauty, Abe Monju-in Temple is a popular spot for worshippers praying for academic achievement and success in their studies🌸
