Enjoy the magnificent view of cherry blossoms with elegance✨
GPS art of cherry blossoms in Shinjuku Gyoen, one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo.
Shinjuku Gyoen is a vast garden located in Shinjuku-ward, Tokyo. It was built as a daimyo’s residence in the Edo period (1603-1867), and was maintained as an imperial garden in the Meiji period (1868-1912). The French, English, and Japanese gardens are in harmony, and the beautiful scenery can be enjoyed in each of the four seasons. Especially in spring, the garden is known as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo, with approximately 1,000 cherry trees of about 70 varieties decorating the garden. In addition to someiyoshino and weeping cherry trees, yaezakura cherry trees also bloom, making it possible to enjoy cherry blossom viewing over a long period of time. It is a relaxing place to forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
The cherry blossoms usually peak from mid-February to mid-April. Especially on Saturdays and Sundays in late March and early April, admission is by advance reservation only. Although admission is difficult, the view is spectacular. Please take a walk in the park and try your hand at cherry blossom GPS art🌸
