“C” GPS Art Drawn by the Springs of Musashino✨
International cooperation by GPS art of “C” onto Tokyo! From March 8 (Saturday) to May 31 (Saturday), 2025, a new project of “Walk in Her Shoes 2025”, “Let’s Walk and Draw “C” on the Earth! Let’s start GPS art!
Walk in Her Shoes 2025″ is an international cooperation program to raise awareness about global water issues and the current situation of women and girls in developing countries by simply walking at a time and place of your choice. Let’s draw the “C” of CARE with GPS art and send it to the world!
GPS art on Sanpoji Pond in Tokyo’s Nerima Ward. Sanpoji Pond is a natural pond with a long history that has been nurtured by the abundant underground water that springs from the Musashino Plateau. It has been closely associated with people’s faith and daily life since ancient times, and was used as a source of irrigation water during the Edo period (1603-1868). The plant community is designated as a natural monument by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and the pond preserves a precious natural environment where a variety of aquatic plants and wild birds can be seen.
This “C” GPS artwork is a 1km-long course utilizing Sanpoji Pond and the surrounding parkway. The route drawn around the pond is a small journey of nature and culture in harmony, where visitors can walk while enjoying the waterside scenery and the Musashino aspect of the area. The quiet and serene park offers a healing experience with its trees showing their seasonal expressions and the shimmering surface of the water.
This year, by walking or running and leaving a trail of the “C” of CARE and posting the saved GPS image on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram with the two hashtags “#Walking for InternationalCooperation2025” and “#GPSArt,” you can donate 100 yen.
We are also developing a Walk in Her Shoes 2025 version of the “Reply Art” developed by the “Hokuriku GPS Art Club”. Please try this one as well!
