The park is known as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in the city, especially in spring when the park is decorated with approximately 150 cherry trees. Cherry trees, mainly Someiyoshino, bloom and create a beautiful pink landscape in the vast area of the park. The “Yaita Cherry Blossom Festivals” are held every year, attracting many cherry blossom viewers. At night, the park is illuminated, creating a fantastic atmosphere. It is a popular springtime spot for strolls and picnics.
