GPS art drawn on a sacred soccer stadium✨
GPS art of cherry blossoms at Saitama Stadium 2002, one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Saitama Prefecture.
Saitama Stadium 2002 is one of the largest soccer stadiums in Japan, located in Midori-ward, Saitama City, and was created to host the 2002 FIFA World Cup. It is also known as the home of the Urawa Reds, and is a sacred place for soccer where domestic and international matches are held. In spring, the park around the stadium is filled with some 120 cherry trees, including Someiyoshino cherry trees, mountain cherry trees, and Oshima cherry trees, making it a great place to watch games and enjoy cherry blossom viewing. The rows of cherry trees around the perimeter of the stadium are especially beautiful and attract visitors. It is an attractive spot where sports and nature come together.
The cherry blossoms are usually at their best from late March to early April, when they are illuminated at night. The stadium is also lit up in pink, so you can watch the cherry blossoms and the stadium compete with each other. Please stop by and try your hand at GPS art🌸
