This 15km GPS art course invites you to sketch a Ptarmigan, starting from Nakatakahama Park and looping across the reclaimed coastal lands and the historic inner bluffs that once formed the original shoreline.
The journey traverses the quiet greenery of Takahama Park and Kitaisobe Park before leading you into the expansive Inage Seaside Park. Within this maritime oasis, you will run past the lush Inage Memorial Hall, the botanical beauty of the BOTANICA MUSEUM, and the white sands of the Inage Yacht Harbor. The trail then skirts the bustling Chiba City Central Wholesale FoodCourt before turning inland toward the historic coast. Here, you will discover the pristine Inage no matsubayashi, Park and the elegant Aisin Gioro Pujie’s Former Residence, where the brother of the last Chinese emperor once lived.
While the Ptarmigan is typically a symbol of remote, snowy peaks, tracing its silhouette across Chiba’s flat, sea-breezed urban grid offers a poetic contrast. This 15km loop is completely flat and perfect for runners.
