GPS art of cherry blossoms on Shinkawa Sakura Namiki, one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Kita-ku, Sapporo.
Shinkawa Sakura Namiki in Kita-ku, Sapporo City is known as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in the city. The 2-km-long rows of cherry trees along the banks of the Shinkawa River are alternately planted with about 700 Ezo-Yamazakura and Somei-Yoshino cherry trees, creating a tunnel of red and white blossoms in spring.
The cherry blossoms are usually at their best from late April to early May, and are illuminated at night as the “Shinkawa Night Cherry Blossoms🌸
