GPS art of a snake drawn at a Hatsumode spot in Yamanashi Prefecture🐍✨
A GPS art course where you can draw a snake, the animal of the Chinese zodiac, around Jatoeki Shrine, a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) spot in Yamanashi Prefecture.
The Jatoeki Shrine in Oshino Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, has long been a shrine that prays for the safety and peace of the local community. The shrine is located looking up at Mt. Fuji, and is surrounded by Mt. Kaneyama and Mt. Mine on the west side, and Toriiji and Sasamihara on the east side. It is said that these natural features form the shapes of two giant snakes, which merge to form the snake head. As a symbol of this great nature, it has been revered since the time of the founder of the Oshikusa district.
Jatoeki Shrine will continue to be a popular spot in 2025. Please try it during your Hatsumode🐍✨
