🎃 Strolling Through Toyama Castle Town! Halloween “Ghost” GPS Art 👻
A perfect adventure for the Halloween season awaits in central Toyama City!
This unique 8km GPS art course allows you to sketch a charming “ghost” onto your map as you walk through the city’s historic and cultural landmarks.
The journey begins at JR Toyama Station, the gateway to the city, and leads you to the iconic Toyama Castle. Once a stronghold of the Maeda clan during the Edo period, the castle played a vital role in the politics and economy of the region. Today, its beautifully maintained grounds serve as a popular park, offering visitors a peaceful glimpse into Toyama’s samurai heritage.
From there, the route connects important civic and cultural hubs such as the Toyama Prefectural Government Office, Toyama City Hall, and the Toyama Prefectural Civic Center. You’ll also pass the renowned Aubade Hall, a leading venue for concerts, musicals, and theater in Hokuriku, as well as the Kosugi no Kuni Museum of Literature, where the literary legacy of Toyama is brought to life.
Toyama City combines the natural beauty of the Tateyama Mountain Range with the vibrancy of a modern urban center. Its castle-town atmosphere, interwoven with rich history and culture, makes every step along this GPS art course both meaningful and memorable.
Celebrate Halloween with a touch of creativity—why not draw a “ghost” on the streets of Toyama and take home a one-of-a-kind seasonal memory? 🎃
