GPS art drawn on a spectacular landscape of 4,000 cherry trees✨
GPS art of cherry blossoms drawn on the Koboyama Kofun Tomb, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot.
Kobouzan Kofun is one of the oldest burial mounds in Japan, located in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, and is also known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. Located on a small hill at an elevation of 650 meters, the entire mountain is covered with 4,000 Someiyoshino cherry trees in spring, which turn the entire mountain pale pink. The view of the Northern Alps and the city of Matsumoto over the cherry blossoms is spectacular and attracts many cherry blossom viewers. There is an observatory at the top of the mountain where visitors can enjoy the magnificent view with cherry blossoms in full bloom. At night, the cherry blossoms are lit up, creating a fantastic night view, making it one of Matsumoto’s best cherry blossom viewing spots.
The cherry blossom season is usually from early April to mid-April. The best view is from the top of the mountain, so please stop by here during your GPS art🌸
